6WIND is recruiting top-notch Software Developer, proficient in Python programming, to join the company’s R&D software teams in France, in charge of new product development and services for key customers.
Our teams consist of network software development experts and mentors who work according to Open Source best practices. Code review and attention to code quality and design, as well as CI/CD and test automation, are key aspects to our work.
Responsibilities:
Join our Management and Monitoring team to work on the development of services controlling our 6WIND VSR (Virtual Service Router) solution.
The solutions you will work on include the following : Virtual Provider Edge (vPE), Virtual Cell Site router (vCSR), Virtual Security Gateway (vSecGW), Virtual Firewall (vFW), 5G User Plane Function (UPF), Virtual Carrier-Grade NAT Router (vCG-NAT), Virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG), Virtual Border Router (vBR), Virtual Customer Premises Equipment (vCPE), and more in Cloud Native environments.

Skills and qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science
- At least 4 years’ experience or personal contributions to projects in Python programming language (OOP)
- Well-versed in System programming
- Proficient in Linux environment
- Knowledge of Netconf servers, influx DB, Grafana
- Strong multithreading and performance-oriented programming skills
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
- Experience with application layer protocols (e.g. DNS, FTP, SMTP, etc.), firewalls (Linux iptables), IPsec, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, etc. is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English or French (ideally both)
- Ability to work within a team, share knowledge with your teammates, show technical curiosity and demonstrate fast learning abilities
- Have a passion for coding and resolving complex technical problems
Possibility of holding the role remotely for experienced candidates ;
You must be located in France and be open to frequent travels to our HQ based in Paris region.
