L3 Network Support Engineer

6WIND is seeking a L3 Network Support Engineer

In this role, as a Senior Network Engineer, your main objective will be to ensure 6WIND Customer Satisfaction with the solutions they have implemented.

Our product portfolio includes the 6WIND Cloud, the Virtual Service Router (VSR) Product suite as well as the Virtual Accelerator. Our solutions are based on Software Defined Network and Network Function Virtualization cutting edge technologies.

In your day to day business you will interact with 6WIND international customers and liaise with our internal teams to ensure you deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Being the point of contact for various customers such as : Communications Service Providers, Internet Service Providers and Enterprises, based worldwide (90% of our clients are based outside of France)
  • Helping customers with the deployment of 6WIND Solutions in their own infrastructure and making sure they’re using it in the most efficient way
  • Lead technical trainings with customers
  • Liaising internally with the R&D and Professional Services teams to solve complex customer issues, including bugs requiring indepth technical investigation in the Linux based system
  • Delivering exceptional customer service, with commitment and high reliability

Required Skills and Background:

  • Master’s degree in Network Computing, with around 10 years experience in this field
  • Excellent knowledge of communication/networking protocols such as TCP/IP, IPsec, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, SNMP
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux/UNIX system administration
  • Team working spirit
  • High level of commitment to relationship building
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
  • Experience in virtualization and container environment would be an asset
