provides 10x performance acceleration for QorIQ
platforms while lowering system power consumption

On June 14,
6WIND announced support for the QorIQ P4080
processor from Freescale Semiconductor. The
6WINDGate packet processing software offers Freescale
customers a market-proven migration path to the performance advantages
associated with multicore processing, while also providing them with a
solution for achieving low power consumption targets.

Advantech achieves 80Gbps throughput on Packetarium™
platform using 6WIND software

On May 25, Advantech and 6WIND
announced the availability of the 6WINDGate multi-core packet
processing software on the Advantech's Packetarium
NCP-7560 network processor platform. The NCP-7560, representing the
high performance end of the Packetarium
product line, is ideally suited for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)
applications and was showcased at the Advantech booth at ISS World.
