 6WIND expands support for latest generation of Intel Multi-Core platforms

November 26, 2007 - Paris, France - 6WIND, leader in advanced embedded networking software announced today a successful porting of 6WINDGate™ on the latest generation of Intel platforms based on the Intel® 5000P chipset and supporting two quad-core Intel® Xeon® processors, providing 8 cores for processing. OEM vendors are now able to use 6WINDGate™ Fast Path based software on high performance hardware such as rack mount servers from Intel that may be equipped with multi Gbps network interfaces to develop a large range of equipment for telecom infrastructure, UTM, media controllers or servers.
