ARKOON EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL OFFERING BY LEVERAGING 6WIND’S LINUX MULTICORE SOFTWARE

Paris and Beijing, December 7, 2006 – Arkoon Network Security (www.arkoon.com), the European leader in information, communications, and infrastructure security solutions, and 6WIND, leader in advanced embedded networking software, today, signed a deal to develop a new range of high-performance network security solutions on 6WIND’s latest Linux multicore MIPS64-optimized software. The new deal equips Arkoon with a winning strategy for the international market to offer security solutions on a whole gamut of hardware, from X86 to ARM and multicore processors already prepped for optimal networking performance.

“We chose to extend our initial collaboration with 6WIND because of their Linux multicore networking software which is future-proof and yet allows us to immediately exploit the greater range of networking scalability and performance levels provided by the latest MIPS64 multicore processors,” said Thierry Rouquet, CEO of Arkoon. “This strengthens our plan of expanding internationally in good time to meet the increasingly diverse network security performance demands of converging and mobile communications worldwide.”
