6WIND announced that Konka Group (www.konka.com.cn), a leading television and mobile phone manufacturer in China, has selected the 6WINDGate™ dual-IP networking software solution to empower its next-generation IP-based CE products for the rapidly growing IP-based consumer electronics market in China such as IPTV. The 6WINDGate™ solution was chosen for its sophisticated system architecture and full feature set of IP networking. 6WINDGate™ feature set and scalability for multi-core architectures have been successfully demonstrated at 3GSM Barcelona to address increasing performance requirements of deep packet inspection applications including Fixed Mobile Convergence, WiMax gateways or IP control plane/data plane for ATCA/AMCC based line cards powered by multi-core CPUs.

6WINDGate™ SDS optimised architecture for multi-core MIPS64 architectures delivers more and more performance for multi-gigabit security-enabled applications thanks to the support of IPsec in Fast Path using built-in crypto libraries. Performance on small packets is critical for real-time applications. The following diagram shows 6WINDGate™ SDS IPsec performance for 64 byte packets depending on the number of cores for Fast Path processing.
