Matthew Kim, Vice President of Sales for Asia
Matthew Kim heads 6WIND sales for Asia. His industry experience includes pre-sales, sales and consulting in data and voice telecommunication products and solutions since 1990.
Prior to 6WIND, he held several senior positions as Country Manager for Ascend Communications, Lucent Technologies, Jetstream Communications and Paradyne Networks, gaining a strong expertise in the global sales cycle, technical support and consulting services for an outstanding array of IP technologies (voice over DSL, DSLAM, RAS, VoIP, VPN, network management, WLAN, IP routing and switching) and various customer profiles (SIs, carriers, DSL providers, etc.)
Matthew started his career at SICC, a major Korean system integrator, as Senior Software Developer, then Product Development Manager and Network Consultant, for telecommunications equipment and solutions such as message handling system, network management system, LAN switches, HUBs and routers. His key achievement in the company was the development of the very first commercially available router product in Korea.
Matthew holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the Ajou University in Suwon, Korea. He also earned a Professional Engineer degree (the highest technological qualification in Korea) in the area of information processing.
