6WIND USA is seeking a talented, highly motivated, Solutions Architect to work with Network Equipment Providers (NEPs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the Americas. This is a key strategic role in a market with huge opportunity. Your mission will be to represent 6WIND as a valued technical resource to major providers headquartered in the Americas. 6WIND has a strong reputation and a solid list of existing customers. Our value proposition is unique and has been embraced by some of the largest providers in the world. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales for the Americas.

Relevant Experience:

  • Embedded software experience, preferably in Networking and/or Telecom
  • Experience in C system programming on UNIX/Linux, including kernel development
  • Working knowledge in networking protocol stacks such as TCP/IP, IPsec, routing protocols, etc…
  • Utilization of standard Linux tools (dmesg, ifconfig, lspci, lscpu, tcpdump, ethtool, iptables, rpm, yum, apt-get, etc.)
  • Understanding of x86 servers (MIPS/Tilera/ARM are a plus)
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools such as GDB
  • Exposure to profiling tools such as “perf top” and “oprofile”
  • Experience with Traffic Generator tools such as IXIA, Spirent or pktgen (DPDK)
  • Prior sales support experience is a significant advantage but not required

Duties:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on the 6WINDGate portfolio for NEPs and OEMs in the North America market
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of technology trends and solution options in the telecom space
  • Provide product and customized solution presentations to customers and partners
  • Be a compelling advocate of our technical value proposition
  • Provide guidance to development teams regarding customer requirements and market trends
  • This position requires travel of 50% or more
