Alain Dasté,
Chairman
Alain Dasté is Chairman of 6WIND. He brings with him a wealth
of global management expertise garnered during 25 years in senior
executive positions with leading public and private technology companies.
He has considerable "hands-on" management and revenue
building experience in diverse markets, including Europe, China,
Japan and United States.
Prior to 6WIND, Alain was Co-Founder, President
and CEO of EnvoyWorldWide, a leading enterprise application-messaging
provider funded by US and European venture firms. He also led Stratus
Computer's international operations, which grew to over $300 million
in more than 50 countries under his leadership. As VP and General
Manager at IDEAssociates, he is credited with designing and executing
the company's growth strategy from early stage to over $200 million
in over 40 countries during his 10-year tenure. Alain began his
career in marketing and sales at Hewlett-Packard, moving on to other
senior international marketing positions with the company's offices
in Europe and United States.
Alain is a graduate from the College des Sciences
Economiques & Sociales in Paris, and obtained his post-graduate
degree at the London School of Economics. He is also a graduate
of both Senior Executive Programs at INSEAD, France and Stanford
University in United States.
Alain is also a frequent lecturer at prestigious
universities, business schools (Babson College, Suffolk University)
and international conferences on topics on globalization of trade
and Entrepreneurship.
